The EasyFeeder is a wicking system that automatically feeds Res Care® liquid water softener cleaner into the brine well each day. This keeps the resin beads clean and prevents contaminant build-up to keep the water softener running at peak efficiency. The starter kit comes with both a 0.5 oz. and a 1 oz. wick for your convenience, a mounting bracket and a 64 oz. bottle of Res Care.
Res Care is a specially formulated liquid resin cleaner designed to rid the softener of contaminants that salt can't. 99% of water softening occurs inside of the resin beads. Salt only washes away the calcium but leaves the iron, manganese, silt, metal particles and organic compounds. Over time, these will coat the resin bead causing inefficiencies or total failure.
Regular use of Res Care resin cleaner will restore the resin beads and control valve parts back to peak efficiency and maintain the life of the unit.
Res Care is NSF Certified to meet NSF/ANSI/CAN Standard 60 for drinking water additives.
