INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1) Choose 1/2 oz. (yellow) or 1 oz. (clear) wick depending on how often your softener regenerates. 2) Remove brine tank lid. Drill two 1/4" holes 2" from top of brine tank - 1 3/8" apart and approximately 6" from the hole for the brine draw tube. Mount bracket on inside or outside of tank. 3) Drill a 1/2" hole in the center of the brine well cap. if bracket is mouned on the ouside of tnak, drill a 1/2" hole 2" to the side of bracket to route wick back through the tank. 4) Remove Cap from 64 fl. oz. Res Care bottle and hangon mounting bracket. 5) Remove wick assembly from the water and insert one end of the tube into the bottle, making sure the wick touches the bottom. insert the other end into the brine well, ensuring it hangs below the bottle.

FIRST APPLICATION FOR A FOULED UNIT

Use 4 oz. (1/2 cup) of Res Care per cubic foot of softener resin. Note: Most residential softeners contain approximately 1 cubic foot of resin. If unsure, check your owner’s manual. Pour Res Care directly into the brine well. If your softener has no brine well, pour Res Care directly into the salt tank when the salt is low. Manually regenerate the softener. NOTE: If taste or odor is detected in tap water, manually regenerate softener, then run cold water until odor is gone.

REGULAR/MAINTENANCE USE

Add 4 oz. (1/2 cup) per cubic foot of resin at each regeneration.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE WITH EXISTING EASY FEEDER®

Unscrew cap from 64 oz. bottle and remove wick. Refill bottle and replace cap ensuring wick touches the bottom of bottle. Note: Wick in brine well must hang below the bottom of bottle.
